COVID Guideline Update
On June 14, the Alberta Government removed all mandatory public health restrictions. ACOT has reviewed the AB Government and AHS guidance and the messaging from our allied health and physician regulators. After this dedicated review and careful consideration of our public protection mandate, we have updated the Safe Delivery of OT Services During GOVID-19 guideline and the COVID-19 Pandemic FAQs to reflect the removal of all public health restrictions.
Key messages:
- OTs are advised to continue to employ the necessary Infection, Prevention and Control measures based on your risk assessment and screening.
- Continuous medical grade masking with clients or while in client care or educational settings remains strongly recommended.
- Continue to adhere to employer/organizational policies and guidance when it exceeds what ACOT has outlined in the guidance document.
For ongoing guidance regularly review ACOT’s eNews and Practice Resources at www.acot.ca
