Honouring Traditional Lands
The Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) acknowledges that we regulate occupational therapists who live, travel through and practice on the traditional lands of the signatories of Treaties 6, 7, 8 and 10; the eight Métis Settlements in Alberta; and Regions 1-6 of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
ACOT commits to reconciliation by honouring the spirit and intent of the Treaties and Agreements made with the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples of Canada – that of peace, friendship, respect and mutual understanding.
