RENEWAL DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 29, 2024 AND RENEWAL & CCP SUPPORT SERIES

RENEWAL DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 29, 2024

The deadline for renewal is fast approaching on February 29, 2024. Ensuring your renewal is completed on time is crucial to maintaining your authorization to practice.

Renew Now to Avoid Interruption. It is crucial to highlight that failure to renew your registration by February 29 will result in cancellation. If you miss the renewal deadline – including if you submitted your renewal on or before February 29 but it still requires review by the ACOT team for employer updates or name changes – your practice permit is cancelled, and you can’t work until your application is approved.

Re-registering after cancellation involves providing the following documentation:

  • Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check Completed Within the Last Six Months
  • Proof of at least $5M personally held Professional Liability Insurance
  • Proof of completion of the Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Canada e-Module
  • Proof of Completion of the Preventing Sexual Abuse and Misconduct e-Module

Note: It can take up to 10 or more business days to re-register after you submit your re-application with a new criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. Be sure to finish your renewal today.

If you have any questions or require assistance during the renewal process, please do not hesitate to reach out to our registration team at info@acot.ca.
