New People at ACOT!
We are pleased to welcome two new contract employees who will be working at ACOT until the end of February 2024. Judith Pinto is an occupational therapist with extensive experience working with children with special needs and has specialized in addressing the mental health needs of neurodivergent children and adults. Judith will be in the role of Practice Advisor every day except Thursdays, and she looks forward to receiving practice queries from OTs across Alberta.
Judith will be freeing up Alanna Ferguson, our Director of Competence and Practice, to work on updates to our Continuing Competence Program in our online system. These updates will reflect the changes being made to our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, which we anticipate will be implemented late in 2023, in time for our 2024-2025 registration renewal cycle.
We are also welcoming Jennifer Alonge in the role of Administrative Assistant. Jennifer will be applying her four years of administration and customer service experience to good use when helping to update various ACOT documents and presentations.
Welcome Judith and Jennifer!
