ACOT is pleased to announce the release of a new educational video resource entitled, “Informed Consent in Schools“. This video was developed in partnership with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists, the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, and The College of Alberta Psychologists. It provides consistent messaging of expectations for informed consent for services delivered by health professionals in the school environment, highlighting the importance of engaging parents in informed consent conversations prior to service delivery.
ACOT registrants working in schools are encouraged to watch the “Informed Consent in Schools” video to ensure their practice aligns with expectations. Additional information can also be found on the Practice Resources tab on the ACOT website.
