Reviews of CCP Submissions Completed
The Review and Evaluation of the 2023-2024 Continuing Competence Program (CCP) submissions is complete. A big thank-you to the members of ACOT’s Competence Committee who acted as Reviewers this year.
Everyone whose CCP was selected for Review has been notified of their rating. As a reminder to those who have been Reviewed, to view your Reviewer Feedback, login to the ACOT online platform and select the My Documents tab. Check out the Guide to Interpreting Your CCP Review on our website under CCP Review and Evaluation for more details. Those with Not Acceptable ratings will connect with ACOT staff for further direction.
We are pleased to say that 77% of registrants whose CCPs were Reviewed this year had submissions rated as Acceptable where the person’s commitment to reflective practice and continuous learning was evident from the content included in their CCP submission. 4% of registrants whose CCPs did not include sufficient evidence of reflective practice and continuous learning received a rating of Not Acceptable. Year-to-year comparisons since the CCP Review and Evaluation began in 2021, show consistency in the overall ratings Acceptable, Conditional and Not Acceptable. The data also illustrates that 84% of registrants improve their Conditional or Not Acceptable rating the following year; with 96% improvement after a Coaching Conversation with an ACOT staff member.
Articulating your Intention for continuous learning, completing an Action towards your goal and participating in a Review of your progress using a reflective practice lens is one-way ACOT meets its mandate of ensuring the public receives competent and ethical OT services.
