Pandemic Restriction Easing
The Government of Alberta’s announcement on February 26, 2022 regarding lifting of public health restrictions does not alter ACOT’s guidance for OTs at this time. Continue to follow the guidance outlined in the Safe Delivery of OT Services During COVID-19 (last updated February 9, 2022).
This includes wearing of a medical grade mask, and any other Infection Prevention and Controls determined by your risk assessment and screening, regardless of immunization status or work setting/role – including those workplaces such as preschools/schools where indoor masking requirements have been lifted.
You may request that your client wear a mask during service delivery but if they will not/cannot, employ the Infection Prevention and Controls as determined by your risk assessment and screening (See Appendix A of the ACOT guideline for details).
