Welcome

ACOT is pleased to announce that Jennifer MacKendrick Weber has joined our team in the role of Director, Regulation & Policy. Jennifer comes to us from Alberta Health Services (AHS) where she most recently worked as a Senior Practice Lead, Interprofessional Practice Regulation. She also has a background working in clinical, educator, case management and leadership roles, predominantly in school, home, and community settings. Jennifer obtained her occupational therapy training as well as a Master of Health Management from McMaster University. She will be working on finalizing our refreshed Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as well as various practice guidelines and projects. Welcome to the ACOT team Jennifer!

Thank you to the 415 ACOT registrants who completed our survey on Exploration of Diagnosis Within Occupational Therapy Practice in Alberta. We are in process of analyzing and preparing the aggregate survey data for Council’s review and will follow up with an Open Forum in the fall to discuss this topic further.
